What are three things you think every entrepreneur should know? 

According to Alfredo, one of the most important qualities for an entrepreneur is conviction. He emphasized the need for entrepreneurs to understand why they are doing what they do, as this serves as their guiding light during both difficult and successful times. Understand and stay true to your purpose and use it as a driving force to achieve your goals.

Another key aspect of the entrepreneurial journey, as Alfredo highlights, is resilience. He highlighted the value of appreciating the little things. Understand that success is not a destination but a constant process of growth and evolution. He also emphasized the importance of gratitude and finding joy in the journey, even when faced with challenges.

Lastly, Alfredo stressed the significance of having a clear understanding of how your idea adds value to the world. He emphasized the need to align your offerings with the needs and desires of your target market. Aligning your business with the broader goals of improving lives and creating a better tomorrow is paramount to success.

What problem does your business solve, and who are your customers? 

Alfredo’s business, Integra Group, aims to bridge the gap between investors and companies in the private markets. They provide a SaaS tool that serves both individual investors and businesses seeking capital. The focus is on connecting people who want to invest with companies that align with their values and purpose, particularly those making a positive impact on well-being, social mobility, sustainability, and digital innovation.

For business owners, the challenge they might be facing is the need for sustained growth. Luming Capital offers a platform that caters to companies at various stages, from early ideas to pre-IPO, facilitating connections with potential investors and providing the necessary support through wealth managers, multi-family offices, and fund managers.

It's interesting how they emphasize creating a marketplace and network effect to not only bring value to users but also to ensure a reciprocal exchange of value within the ecosystem. It's like they're building a hub where investors and businesses can meet, facilitated by the expertise of wealth managers and fund managers. 

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? 

Alfredo was inspired to become an entrepreneur by a desire to align his purpose with his work. After achieving traditional success early in his career, he realized that his values and purpose were not in sync with his job. His overarching purpose is to inspire and support others in achieving their dreams.

Recognizing the transformative power of capital in making things happen, Alfredo decided to step out of his comfort zone and embark on an entrepreneurial journey from scratch. Personal experiences and a belief in second chances further motivated him to start his own company, with the goal of not only pursuing his aspirations but also assisting others in realizing their own dreams.

Knowing what you know now, how would you have spent a million dollars when you first started your business?

Firstly, Alfredo would have allocated funds to attract and secure the right talent for his company, recognizing the crucial role skilled individuals play in the success of a business. Additionally, he would have used the money to continually enhance and advance the technology supporting his business, ensuring that it stays at the forefront of innovation.

Alfredo acknowledged that his entrepreneurial journey has been a learning experience, and some lessons gained along the way cannot be bought with money. While he has a mindset of efficiency and doing more with less, he understands the importance of strategic investment, especially in talent and technology, to drive growth when the business reaches the stage of achieving product-market fit.

What is your proudest accomplishment as an entrepreneur? 

Naturally, Alfredo's proudest accomplishment as an entrepreneur is the successful creation and growth of his company. Building a business from scratch and navigating the challenges of operating in the competitive environment of Silicon Valley while remaining committed to delivering value to clients is a significant source of pride for him. 

Despite facing ups and downs, including the challenges posed by events like COVID-19, Alfredo takes pride in the resilience of his company and its continuous progress.

Moreover, he expresses pride in the positive impact the capital invested has had on driving change and improving lives. While acknowledging that measuring this impact is an ongoing process, he looks forward to reflecting on the journey in the future and assessing the number of lives the company has positively influenced over the years.

What big goals are you looking to achieve? 

Alfredo’s first focus is on improving and expanding his team, bringing in diverse talents to contribute to the growth of Integra Groupe. The aim is to capitalize on the positive signals of product-market fit and market validation that the company has received, using it as a foundation to scale the business.

Looking ahead, there's anticipation of a promising investment cycle in the private markets in the coming year. Alfredo is determined to position his company to seize this opportunity, aligning the organization and its capabilities to make the most of the evolving landscape in the private markets.
