“Following your passion to change the world with your ideas sounds crazy, but is incredibly fulfilling.” Eran Savir is one entrepreneur who understands how crazy ambitious goals sound to those who don’t share them. As an entrepreneur, being passionate about your business or product or creation is vital to staying the course. 

As an investor and venture capitalist himself, he encounters many entrepreneurs with big dreams, and he’s present for the success of many of them - just as he’s present for the trials of trying to maintain success. He has incredible wisdom to share and inspiration to spark for fellow entrepreneurs on their own paths.

What are three things every entrepreneur should know?

Eran began his answer by stating that being an entrepreneur is probably one of the most difficult things you can do. From an outside perspective, you usually only see the successes and wins but in reality, it’s not always that glamorous. There are incredibly difficult moments and times when you may want to quit but the key is to remain resilient and keep going. 

The next thing Eran believes entrepreneurs should understand is that it’s a long journey that requires teamwork. You shouldn’t go it alone. Building a team of people you know and trust to share the load will help you alleviate some of the stress. 

Lastly, Eran mentioned that being a builder and creator as an entrepreneur is one of the best things to do. Following your passion to change the world with your ideas sounds crazy, but is incredibly fulfilling. Being zealous about your ideas and relentless in your pursuit to bring them to life is very ambitious and equally rewarding.

What problem does your business solve and who are its customers?

Eran Savir is the Founder and Managing Partner of Savyon Ventures, a company that aims to solve the problem of funding and support for early-stage startups in the Online Digital Commerce and AI sectors. Eran Savir focuses on identifying the right teams and individuals working on innovative projects within these sectors and providing them with the necessary financial support and guidance to help them grow their businesses.

The primary problem being addressed is the need for funding to fuel the growth of these startups. Eran acts as a financial supporter and partner, offering not only capital but also leveraging his experience and expertise to contribute to the success of the startups. This assistance includes advising, mentoring, and providing valuable insights to help these startups navigate their entrepreneurial journey.

What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur?

Eran Savir was inspired to become an entrepreneur by a desire to pursue something bigger and more meaningful than he was experiencing life as an employee. He had ideas and aspirations that were often met with skepticism and discouragement from others who doubted the feasibility, time, and cost involved in bringing those ideas to fruition. 

This skepticism created a desire in him to take control and prove that he could achieve his vision.

He felt that others were imposing limits on his dreams, essentially placing a glass ceiling on what he believed was possible. Eran decided to take matters into his own hands, partnering with friends and embarking on a journey to create something significant and impactful. Removing the glass ceiling by placing himself in a different environment. 

While initially facing challenges and realizing their lack of knowledge and experience, Eran found the entrepreneurial journey both difficult and rewarding. He discovered a passion for building and starting from scratch, and this realization solidified his identity as an entrepreneur, driving him to continue pursuing ambitious projects and goals.

Knowing what you know now, how would you have spent a million dollars when you first started your business?

As a founder, Eran has learned that the most important thing is to identify a problem, go about solving it, and very early in the process generate revenue. This is the best indicator that you’re solving a problem. You want to spend your time and money on something that matters and will be worth it. 

Knowing this, Eran would channel funds into product development and innovation - with a focus on founders who can generate revenue. This would ensure that the offering effectively addresses a significant problem in the market. This encompasses comprehensive research, prototyping, design, and engineering efforts.

What is your proudest accomplishment as an Entrepreneur?

Eran found this question to be a tough one. The first two companies he founded were acquired and, while this is quite a feat, he doesn’t find it to be his most rewarding accomplishment. The one thing he enjoyed a lot at the beginning of his entrepreneurial career was that he and his team had an idea, they figured out and framed how to build it, and then they brought in investors and employees. 

He found bringing in employees and being able to pay them salaries was the most rewarding thing. Being able to generate revenue and impact someone’s life by paying them a salary that they can use to enhance their lives brings Eran true pride and fulfillment. That first time that Eran hired employees and was able to pay them for their services was a proud moment for him.

What big goals are you looking to achieve?

Eran’s main goal for the future is to find the best teams that he can join their journey. To identify something big and amazing in the tech space early on that he can invest in and be a part of. Picking the right teams is a major accomplishment and one that he focuses a lot of energy on. 

Eran believes that generative AI in particular is transformative and has the potential to change the world. His goal is to discern and back the right teams in this cutting-edge field, recognizing the challenge of navigating and choosing wisely in this rapidly evolving landscape
