What are three things every entrepreneur should know?

For me, the crux of entrepreneurial success lies in the trinity of a compelling vision, masterful communication, and unyielding mental toughness. 

A successful entrepreneur must not only formulate a crystal-clear vision for both clients and the business but also possess the adeptness to communicate it effectively. This particular journey also demands mental toughness and the ability to confront challenges head-on, view setbacks as stepping stones, and unearth opportunities in adversity.

What problem does your business solve, and who are its customers?

Oliva Gibbs specializes in resolving transactional and drilling land issues for oil and gas companies across the United States. Our firm’s commitment to providing not just legal services but high-quality, easy-to-work-with solutions has positioned it as a trusted partner in the industry. 

On the investment front, Oliva Partners caters to clients seeking to grow and safeguard their capital, embracing the innovative fee structure pioneered by Warren Buffett.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Delving into the roots of my entrepreneurial journey takes me back to childhood ventures, particularly the creation of “Card Inc.” at the tender age of 10. 

The allure of solving entrepreneurial puzzles, coupled with the joy of crafting innovative solutions, ignited a passion that has been the driving force behind my entrepreneurial endeavours ever since.

Knowing what you know now, how would you have spent a million dollars when you first started your business?

Reflecting on the past, I recognize the importance of robust sales and marketing strategies. If I had a hypothetical million dollars when I started on my entrepreneurial journey, I would have strategically invested in these areas. 

The future trajectory of any business hinges on continuous reinvestment in sales and marketing, forming the bedrock for sustained growth.

What is your proudest accomplishment as an entrepreneur?

My proudest moment as an entrepreneur is a testament to the collective strength of my team and the positive evolution of my leadership style. 

Being able to disconnect from work during a vacation without a trace of anxiety speaks volumes about the trust place in my team and the vibrant, resilient culture we’ve collectively cultivated. It underscores the significance of surrounding oneself with capable, trustworthy individuals and fostering a work environment that thrives on collaboration.

What big goals are you looking to achieve?

Looking ahead, my entrepreneurial vision encompasses radical transformations for Oliva Gibbs. This includes the introduction of new practice areas, innovative hiring initiatives, and a renewed focus on organizational culture. 

The overarching goal is ambitious – to elevate Oliva Gibbs to the echelons of the top energy firms in the country. Simultaneously, Oliva Partners aspires to reach new milestones, aiming to surpass a hundred million in assets under management while steadfastly enhancing performance for our valued investors.
